The 'Welcome' Box | Required for Subject Guides

The homepage (landing page) of your LibGuide is similar to the homepage of a website. It tells users what your Guide is about. always include an image.

A 'Welcome to (enter subject) Libguide' box should appear in Column 1 of the landing page for all Subject Guides.

Adding a 'Welcome' Box

  1. Click the Add Box - Column 1
  2. Add Box Name
  3. Box Type: Standard
  4. Position: Top of the column
  5. Select Floating Box (optional)
  6. Save changes

Once you have created the box, you may choose to hide the box title from public view (see option 2 below)

Make it a Floating box (display without box title or border):

  1. Click on the pencil icon to edit the box settings
  2. Check the Floating Box option
  3. Save your changes
