URLs + Friendly-URLs
- URLs and Friendly-URLs for Guides, branches, Subjects, and pages should be all lower case.
- All pages in your Guide should also have friendly-URLs.
- Use hyphens (-) instead of underscores (_) in your URLs.
- URLs are constructed logically and in a manner that is most intelligible to humans (when possible, readable words rather than long ID numbers) For example: https://widener.libguides.com/identify-fake-news rather than: https://widener.libguides.com/c.php?g=814390
- For course guides: the course abbreviation and number https://widener.libguides.com/bio-101-Smith
Where do I change the Friendly-URL?
Navigate to your Guide. Click on the pencil icon to change the friendly-URL.
You will also need to create a friendly-URL for each page of your guide.
