To Add a Discovery Search Box to Your LibGuide (for use in right column ONLY)

 

 

  1. Click on the Add Box - Column 1 option at the bottom of the page where you would like the search box to be.

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Select the tab to Reuse Existing Box from the tab at the top of the Add New Box interface.

 

 

 

 

  1. From the Reuse Existing Box tab you will need to select which guide you will pull the box from. Choose the guide titled *Shared Boxes & Pages.

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. From the "Box" dropdown menu, begin typing the box title, the select Discovery Search

 

NOTE: You have the option to select WebPac Catalog Search rather than (or in addition to) the Discovery Search box. 

 

 

 

  1. Select the position and save.

 

The final step will be to make the Discovery Search a Floating box:

 

 

  1. Click on the pencil icon to edit the box settings

 

 

 

  1. Check the Floating Box option and save your changes

You should now see a recycle icon and a life preserver ring icon, after the box title. This indicates that you have mapped to a box from another guide and you are hiding the box title and borders.

 

 

Scroll to the top of your guide and click the to preview the page and double check that
