Kanopy by Widener is an on-demand streaming video library that has been curated by the librarians and instructors at Widener University. All of the titles in the Kanopy by Widener library are available 24/7 to anyone with current Widener login credentials. A personal Kanopy account is not required to view videos in the Widener library, but if you want access to advanced features or to connect multiple libraries, you will need a free personal account.
The Kanopy app can be downloaded on many TV and mobile devices and connected to the Widener library. Widener does not provide technical support for these applications. More on mobile & TV apps can be found here.
If you are a faculty member and would like to request a video for purchase through Kanopy, please contact your liaison librarian.
The Kanopy by Widener video library is accessible from any Kanopy page by clicking the Kanopy logo in the top left corner. The player controls are at the bottom of the viewer.
Information about the video is below the viewer. If closed captions are available, the [CC] option is beside the title of the video. You can share the video through social media or a direct link with anyone who also has Widener login access. You can also embed the video with HTML code.
If you have a personal Kanopy account, you can add videos to your list and create clips and playlists from available videos.
