Reserve Policies

  • Faculty members can place books and DVDs on Course Reserves for the current semester when their course is taught. Please search the Wolfgram Library's circulating collection in the Library Classic Catalog.  Staff members can retrieve these items from the stacks upon request. Personal copies of books and DVDs are also accepted for Reserve.
  • The library will take all normal precautions for the safety of personal items. The library will not be responsible for the abuse or loss of materials by students.
  • Loan Periods are specified by the instructor:

    • 3 hour loan - Library Use only

    • 3 hour loan - outside of the Library

    • 1 day loan - any item with a 1 day loan period may be checked out of the Library and returned the following day

    • 3 day or 7day loan - Item may be checked out for the length of time designated

    • Library Use Only - Library use only items must remain in the Library for a time period of approximately  2-hours

  • If the library does not own a desired book, you may request a "rush" order to be placed for acquisition. 2-6 weeks may be needed for this process. Please discuss acquisition requests with a departmental liaison librarian.
  • Faculty needing assistance for inclusion of a permalink to a specific journal article into their Canvas Courses should seek the assistance of their liaison librarian.  For further guidance on other Canvas issues, contact the Canvas 24/7 Support Hotline (Faculty) at  (833) 735-0335 or email TLT at  tltoffice@widener.edu.
  • A book in circulation may be recalled at any time to be placed on reserve by a faculty member for a current course, with a 14-day lead time to allow the book to be returned.
  • Please direct any Reserve questions to Denise DeRosa, (610) 499-4071 or dederosa@widener.edu.
